Backrooms:Escape From Hell Game Review
Backrooms:Escape from Hell is an Action game developed by Artifact Games and published on Android. The game features an escaped demon that has found himself in the underworld, but even there he's not safe from monsters and daemons, who will stop at nothing to capture him and return him to Hell. To escape, he must run through a series of unique rooms filled with terrifying creatures.
The Backrooms are a liminal, unearthly reality characterized by endless yellow hallways and damp musty carpet. They are said to be a place outside of reality that, if a person is not careful, they may accidentally slip into (or "noclip") from time to time. Although there is much speculation about the origins of the Backrooms, there is no definitive explanation of how they came to be, how they are entered, or what happens once someone slips into them.
There is also a wide variety of lore regarding the different levels or layers of the Backrooms, as well as about the entities and beings that inhabit them. Some of this lore has been documented in YouTube videos and other forms of found-footage analog horror, including a video series produced by Kane Pixels that became widely popular in early 2022.
The Backrooms:Escape from Hell aims to bring the Backrooms to life on your Android device, with gameplay reminiscent of early 90s adventure/horror games like "Doom" and "Quake". You will be trapped in a yellow room with buzzing fluorescent lights and an overwhelming stench of wet carpet. The game is set to include several levels and a variety of creatures, including Wired Humanoid, Pipe Head, Siren Head, and Grandma Granny.
